Compact class makes welders dreams come true
More compact performance, lower noise level, more stable arc and easier operation than conventional welding devices are the features of the new TIG welding systems by TPS-Fronius
Fronius welding technology makes it possible.
With regards to the stainless steel exhaust of the Adventure 950 the KTM team placed main emphasis on exclusivity and an outstanding fabrication.
Thanks to the Fronius circumferential welding machine and Magic Wave 2600 as well as Trans Tig 1700 and subsequent machining with the Fronius Magic Cleaner these requirements were met at the first attempt.
In the meantime 7,000 of these exhausts have been produced.
KTM expects a twice as high number of pieces for the next year.
In the meantime, the exhaust fabrication at KTM Sportmotorcycles completely relies on Fronius welding technology: two MAG double circumferential welding machines, a combined TIG - and MAG circumferential welding machine and a MAG longitudinal seam welder as well as 12 TPS 2700 for manual welding and a TransTig 1600/1700 are in permanent operation.
Due to the pulsing technology and the resultant reduced machining KTM was able to increase productivity by an average of 30%!.
