Kail and Co is a precision engineering sub-contractor to the oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, defence and marine, nuclear, medical and scientific industries, working for national and international blue chip companies.
The new premises, which will cover some 13,000 sq feet, will be completed in March 2004 and provide the company with spacious office accommodation and modern manufacturing facilities, equipped with state of the art computerised machine tools.
Martin Johnson, partner at local accountants, Torgersens, a member of national firm, Hacker Young and advisors to Kail and Co, said: "The company has become a leading light in its specialised industry and an asset to the North East region.
