High fidelity simulator of an offshore
platform
ESD Simulation Training is based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Calgary in Canada, and Perth in Western Australia, and regularly uses dedicated TSC simulation models in its training courses
The latest equipment supplied to ESD Simulation Training from TSC is a high fidelity simulator of an offshore oil and gas platform The simulator is operated using an ABB OperateIT emulated DCS, through two twin screen trainee workstations
It is controlled through a dedicated trainer station, with scenario and fault injection capability, and monitoring of all aspects of the model for competence assessment.
A graphical fire and gas system is included, and the model may be started up and shut down using standard procedures.
