Additionally SNMP traps can be sent to warn when a temperature (and/or humidity level) has fallen outside a desired range.
Temperature (and humidity) sensors are connected to Poseidon via RS232, RS485 or single-wire connections; and in the case of RS485 up to 43 sensors can be connected to a single Poseidon.
Poseidon is also equipped with three binary inputs so that the states of up to three digital sensors (door contacts, PIR, smoke sensors etc) may also be monitored remotely.
Typical applications for Poseidon include monitoring the temperature of warehouses containing temperature sensitive goods, monitoring the temperature of power supplies, chemical processes, food processing operations, retail environments etc.
