The TTE Technical Training Group has continued to enhance its services to global industry with the establishment of a new Business Development Team
The TTE Technical Training Group has continued to enhance its services to global industry with the establishment of a new Business Development Team.
Headed up by Business Development Manager John Taylor, the team will further expand the TTE reputation and presence in UK and International markets, particularly the Middle East and Africa.
John is joined by experienced technical training specialists Andy Morris and Tony Scott as TTE continues to deliver bespoke specialist training programmes and consultancy services to operators in the oil and gas, steel, petrochemical and manufacturing sectors.
All three have worked for TTE for a number of years and take on these new roles as the Group finalises its restructuring programme.
The reorganisation was carried out to allow its current and potential customers, partners, stakeholders and suppliers to clearly differentiate between its commercial and apprenticeship business units.
John's new role builds on his previous success in business development as Project Development Manager.
He takes on responsibility for all commercial business development activities around the world, which represents a total income stream in excess of GBP6.5 million.
During his fourteen years at TTE John has progressed through a number of positions including Trainer, Senior Trainer, Training Officer and Operations Manager before moving into business development three years ago.
John has continued to use his extensive knowledge and experience over the years and has played a lead role in a number of key business development milestones that continue to provide revenue streams to the TTE business both at UK and International levels.
These include the acquisition of the ECITB national assessment services contract, the UK Upstream (UOGITTS) and Centrica residential apprenticeship contracts and the BP Caspian Technical Training Centre contract.
Andy Morris has been appointed International Technical Sales Consultant with specific responsibility for managing the TTE Libyan business portfolio and short course development in the Middle East.
After a period as an Engineering Trainer Andy became responsible for the TTE pre-16 school programme and apprentice recruitment.
He moved into the commercial arm of the group in 2003 becoming the TTE Scotland Business Development Consultant before taking on this new role.
UK commercial business will be handled primarily by UK Technical Sales Consultant Tony Scott.
Working closely with industry Tony will continue to develop new and existing relationships with customers to meet their workforce competency and skills requirements.
With seven years' experience at TTE, Tony has extensive knowledge of both the practical applications of technical training in addition to his Business Development experience through his work as a senior trainer in the commercial operations team.
John Taylor said: "At TTE we are continuously adapting our business environment to meet the needs of our UK and International markets.
Recent changes within the Business Development Team will enable us to better serve these markets through focused technical sales support".
Phil Blewitt, TTE Commercial Business Director, said: "We have created a talented and experienced business development team in order that we continue to provide our customers with high quality, innovative and cost effective Training and Consultancy Services.
"Our commitment both locally, nationally and internationally is demonstrated through these changes and we are looking to build upon our past success by ensuring we have the right mix of people to work in partnership with our customers.".
