Excellent equipment and support wins orders
Queen of Hearts chose Turbo Systems for the latest automated line to deposit a combination of icings and butter creams quickly and efficiently, with a single lane slat band conveyor
Queen of Hearts, Oxford-based bakers of a range of sponges, chocolate cakes and other goodies like Bakewell tarts, chose Turbo Systems - long recognised as a premier manufacturer of a wide range of equipment for the food production and processing industry - when it wanted to upgrade and automate its systems.
Nigel Murch, Queen of Hearts commercial director, explains why the company chose Turbo Systems: ''We were impressed by the innovation they were able to give us.
We now have an automated line to deposit a combination of icings and butter creams quickly and efficiently.'' The company needed the best on the market so it in turn could supply the best to its customers who include a high quality supermarket group, The Duchy of Cornwall, Harrods and Compass, the largest food service company in the UK.
''We are supplying quality food to quality retailers so we need the best equipment available,'' said Mr Murch.
From Turbo Systems the bakers have got just that.
''Everything about Turbo Systems is first-class.
We have a depositing line, which is doing more than we expected of it.
It is proving to be low maintenance and as a bonus we received excellent operator training from Turbo Systems,'' said Mr Murch.
In fact, Queen of Hearts, an independently-owned company with a staff of 75, which has been operating since 1978, has been so impressed with Turbo Systems standards - both of equipment and service - that it has paid an immediate return visit to the company.
And in opting for a pair of D150 depositors with a single lane slat band conveyor fitted with a series of decorating heads to vary the filling and finish requirements, Queen of Hearts has purchased a Turbo Systems bestseller.
The D150 series is part of the company's new generation machine range, designed and built to be cost effective and flexible.
Developed from the highly successful D100 range which were a favourite of many UK companies, technological improvements have been made to ensure they meet all requirements for the depositing and filling of liquids, creams, semi-solids and particulated products.
The Turboslat series of slat band conveyors is a highly-robust complement to the depositors and has been formulated to cope with low to medium volume jar, tub and bottle handling.
Its design is ultra-modern yet still based on Turbo Systems decades of experience in food processing markets both in the UK and abroad.
Turbo Systems is a company renowned for its research and development and for working in close liaison with its customers to ensure the equipment purchased meets exactly the specifications demanded.
