Turbo Systems to sell Murzan food pumps

Premier manufacturers of quality filling and depositing equipment for the food, dairy and bakery industries, Turbo Systems, has formed a strategic partnership with the global provider of fluid handling systems, Murzan, and has been awarded a UK distribution contract for the complete range of US manufactured pumps.

Hull based Turbo Systems has recently begun supplying the full range of Murzan small scale food processing equipment, which includes the highly popular PI 50 diaphragm pump specially designed for sanitary requirements, and the DUS-50 drum unloading system ideal for heavy food substances.

And as part of the agreement, Turbo has opened up its US supply chain and is now distributing the Turbo product range through Murzan in Norcross, Georgia, USA.

MD at Turbo Systems, Andy Lang, commented on the collaboration: "The Murzan range of equipment is complementary to Turbo's own machine line-up, and we are already enjoying much success with the PI 50, in fact with the whole range of pumps." Acknowledged to be the most popular in the Murzan range, the PI 50 sanitary pump can handle viscosities up to 150,000 CP and particle sizes up to 6 inches, and is especially suitable for applications such as tomato paste, ground beef and pie fillings.

The Murzan DUS-50 - another bestseller for Turbo - is the ultimate solution for emptying highly viscous materials from 55-gallon drums or containers of various shapes.

When in operation the system empties the containers quickly and efficiently without adding any pressure to the product or the container.

Andy Lang spoke about the Turbo access into the US through Murzan: "The contract has given Turbo Systems nationwide routes to American food producers and we are winning a large number of orders based on the quality of Turbo equipment and the high level of service from Murzan.

This I believe offsets the premium prices created by the persistently high dollar-sterling exchange rates." The Turbo range of processing equipment includes depositing, conveying and filling machines, all of which are engineered in quality stainless steel, reflecting the highest standards of hygiene and reliability.

The equipment targets the food, bakery and dairy industries, and also has the capability to handle household and automotive products.

It deals with high and low temperature fillings, stiff consistencies, thin liquids, those containing irregular particles, in fact virtually any mixture in use today.
