Turbo Systems is celebrating the sale of its 500th D150 depositor, which will be on display, along with a range of pumps, conveyors and other depositing equipment, at the 2006 EFI Show.

Now operating worldwide, the Turbo D150 depositor, which is used to place cream onto cakes, fill curries into trays, dispense soup into plastic containers as well as toppings onto pizzas, is part of the company's new generation machine range.

Many of the top food processors in the country operate a Turbo D150, including the manufacturer of Bakewell Tarts.

The 500th D150 has been recently shipped over to Holland where it will be distributed and installed by the company's Dutch agent, Stephan.

Speaking on the achievement, managing director of Turbo System, Andy Lang, said: "We knew when we launched the D150 machine in 2003 that it was a winner and ahead of our competition.

The number of machine orders speaks for itself.

We have also upgraded our twin and multi-head fillers in line with the D150 concept and we have seen sales for these machines almost double in the last 2 years." Also on display from Turbo Systems at EFI will be the highly popular VP 100 transfer pump, which is ideal for products such as soup, pate, pizza topping and ready meals.

Standard features of the VP 100 include simple controls, easily adjustable height, castors to ensure mobility and an easy clean design, whereby no tools are required for changeovers and cleaning procedures.

In addition to these benefits, the VP 100 has been specially designed in stainless steel to improve efficiency and traceability through the food chain.

Complementary to the D150 depositor and the VP 100 pump is the Turboveyor belt conveyor, which will also take a prominent position on the Turbo Systems EFI stands 141-142.

The cantilever design and quick release mechanism of the Turboveyor facilitates easy cleaning and the air manifold pipework allows quick and simple connection to the air supply.

With its extensive range of optional features, the Turboveyor series can be tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of applications within many industries including food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical.

Mr Lang commented on this the EFI 2006 offerings: "Turbo Systems has an unrivalled track record for quality and innovative products, and the D150 is second to none in depositing, which is why I anticipate it will create a huge amount of interest among visitors at this years show".

EFI takes place from 25th -26th January 2006.
