Turbo agitators mix suspense with versatility

The UK's leading manufacturer of depositing equipment for the food industry, Turbo Systems , has won new business and solved customers' mixing problems by fitting an agitator to its range of volumetric depositors.
An agitator is the ideal attachment for customers wanting to deposit semi-solid or particulated products such as soups, sauces and crepe mixtures.
It is fully controllable and especially suitable for fragile products such as fruits and meats.
The agitator simply stirs the mix and keeps the particulates in suspension, ultimately giving a full and accurate deposit without causing any damage to delicate ingredients.
Located inside the hopper, the agitator can be retro-fitted to existing Turbo depositors, which is proving to be a popular solution, following recent changes in the market for more versatility.
This has led to a huge rise in the number of Turbo Systems customers wanting to deposit semi-solid or particulated products accurately, yet not wanting to purchase a complete new machine.
A common problem - which is easily remedied by fitting an agitator to the hopper - is that liquid is strained and deposited first, leaving particulates in the hopper.
Agitators can be switched on and off as required, which is perfect for manufacturers finding themselves under increased pressure to accurately deposit a wide variety of products using existing Turbo equipment.
Turbo Systems manufacture agitators to suit all sizes of hoppers.
Three types are offered comprising reciprocating paddle, horizontal rotary paddle and vertical propeller.
All of these are available in vertical and horizontal configurations and can be air or electrically driven.
As technology moves along and the demand by customers for faster product processing increases, Turbo has developed many fully-automated systems that completely eliminate hand application.
However, over the decades one type of machine has become invaluable to all - the Turbo volumetric depositor.
This is by far the most widely-used and most versatile of all filling machines.
The size of the hopper and the nozzle type are all variable as are the size of the cylinder and piston and the length of stroke available.
Technical area sales manager, Mark MacBean says: " Depositing equipment requirements will always be product driven.
In an ever changing market our latest depositor, the D150, repeatedly comes out on top.
One of the reasons for this is that it can easily be adapted to suit new product trends.
Fitting an agitator to the hopper of existing Turbo machines is just one example of how we can give our customers the versatility they need to compete in today's market.".
