Details of the entries are now with members of the independent judging panel, comprising industry professionals from a variety of fields and disciplines.
They will consider each submission before they assemble to make the final decisions on the award winners.
The final award, the recipient of which will not be announced until the presentation, will be to an outstanding individual who has made a major contribution to the water and waste water industry.
A number of nominations have been received for this award category and it is believed that the judging panel will be faced with a difficult task in selecting the ultimate recipient.
The Awards themselves, will be presented at the IWEX Gala Evening taking place on Wednesday 12th November.
Originally planned to take place at the National Motor Cycle Museum, which was recently destroyed by fire, the event will now take place in the superb surroundings of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
The Innovation Awards presentations will be one of the highlights of an action-packed evening, which further includes a reception and dinner, an after-dinner presentation by BBC Television News presenter, Nicholas Witchell and a cabaret performance by Chris Sibley of Stars in their Eyes fame.
With tables at the Gala Evening selling quickly, the event is set to be a major activity within the IWEX experience.
