A fully revised and updated edition of The Insulation Handbook is being prepared now, by the publisher the Turret Group Covering thermal, fire and acoustic insulation materials, as well as asbestos removal companies and relevant associations, the handbook, which was first published in 1959, is supported by the two leading associations for the sector

The new edition of the Insulation Handbook is to be published in September 2008 with a foreword from Royal Institute of British Architects, who recognise the importance of insulation in these times
These are TICA, the Thermal Insulation Contractors' Association, and TIMSA, the Thermal Insulation Manufacturers and Suppliers Association.
Last published in 2002, the Insulation Handbook provides architects, quantity surveyors and contractors with technical details of all types of insulation, along with supplier details.
The guide also gives details of grants and government initiatives aimed at promoting more effective insulation as a way to curb greenhouse gas emissions.
Listings within the guide are free of charge to relevant companies and an entry form can be downloaded from the website.
Closing date for entries is 30 April.
