TUV America, the global testing and certification services firm, announces that it has established a regional presence in the Pacific Northwest.
The expansion initiative includes new hires in the Oregon area with a new office location to open in the spring.
The TUV Northwest presence will focus on offering safety and testing services for a wide range of products and industries.
"By placing an emphasis on the Pacific Northwest, TUV America improves its ability to better serve our customers," commented Lawrence Eaves, West Region Director: "This expansion of our Product Service division will be especially valuable to our product safety services customers located in the western US, potentially enabling them to accelerate their testing timelines and get their products to market faster".
To further strengthen the company advancement into this region, three industry experts have been appointed to build and service the client base.
James Mohr has been appointed Account Executive.
He hails from TUV Rheinland of North America, and previously from TUV Essen, Zehntel (Teradyne), DuPont and 3M.
His background includes sales management and business operations in the electronics test and measurement industry in the US, Europe and Asia.
Philip Hulse and Frank West have each been appointed as Senior Product Safety Service Engineers.
Mr Hulse has over 18 years experience in equipment compliance to safety standards including CE marking, LVD, MD, EMC, SEMI, ISO, ANSI and other standards.
He previously held management positions at Electro Scientific Industries and Tektronix and he is a member of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society and Semiconductor Equipment and Manufacturing Industry (SEMI), and involved in committees and seminars to advance the industry.
Mr West is a NARTE-certified product safety engineer and member of several influential industry organizations.
He has 13 years experience, most recently holding a national engineering management position with TUV Rheinland.
His broad experience in testing for a range of machines and products includes certification for CE marking, SEMI third-party assessment, NRTL listing and recognitions, European licensing, and international certifications and approvals.
