Principal features of the Tuthill 'GlobalGear' pumps are 90 and 180 degree port configurations, ease of maintenance, robust construction, low maintenance costs, multiple options for connections/flanges, comparable performance with existing units, and an option for magnetic coupling.

Maintenance is facilitated by a 'back pull out' feature that reduces downtime, frequently by as much as 60 to 70% compared to conventional alternative pumps.

Further, the pumps offer inline seal replacement and will accept gland packing, inboard or outboard mechanical seals, cartridges or double seals without modification.

All construction materials are equal or in many cases significantly stronger than those of alternative units.

Cast iron and stainless steel are available and parts can be plasma nitride hardened using the company's own 'Tutriding' process for abrasive applications.

Options include relief valves with a return to tank facility.

This is for applications where fluid needs to be 'relieved' un-worked, adding to the safety of operations.

Spares costs are minimised because parts are standardised across the GlobalGear range.

Pumps come with NPT/BSP connections or flanges in ANSI or DIN.

Additional flexibility of installation is provided by the facility to convert a flanged unit to a threaded one in minutes.
