UK Trade and Investment, the Government organisation which provides support for UK companies, believes that the Russian Federation continues to offer good opportunities for UK exporters This is due to increasing income of its 145 million inhabitants and its reforming industrial base
The most promising sectors among others appear to be: furniture, processing equipment, communication, engineering goods, consumer goods and capital equipment.
Exporters are reminded that products exported to Russia must comply with Russian legal requirements such as having a Certificate of Conformity, according to Russian standards.
TUV International, part of the TUV Rheinland Group, can assist in obtaining the required approvals, such as Gost-R.
