In the future, CEP will sell GSM/GPRS modules from Telit on the German market and in Poland.
On the Polish market, CEP will be supported by its sister company Telic Polska, based in Wroclaw.
This will provide Telit with a platform for expanding its activities and distributor network in Poland.
In the future, CEP will be actively distributing Telit modules to its existing base of around 1,000 customers as well as new clients.
CEP management has about ten years of experience in the sale of M2M modules.
Above all it was the Telit clear product strategy that made it an attractive candidate for CEP.
"Thanks to its innovational concepts Telit offers a wide range of favourable products as well as a market-driven portfolio," explains Dr Ditmar Prigge, Chairman of CEP AG.
Further advantages of Telit include its comprehensive technical support and short response times.
"Telit bundles its competence, from development and support to product management, in its team of experts in Trieste.
This is illustrated clearly by the fact that not a single query ever goes astray, and requests are implemented quickly," says Frank Heineck, Director of CEP.
Last but not least, the CEP decision in favour of Telit was influenced by their excellent cost-benefit ratio.
GERMANY.
Together with CEP, Telit will be expanding its activities in Germany and increasing its market share.
"In CEP, we have a solid partner on our side.
This is one of the key requirements for meeting our global objectives," says Dominikus Hierl, President Telit Wireless Solutions.
In exchange, Telit will support CEP in realising its growth strategy in Germany and Poland.
"We are convinced that both parties will benefit from this collaboration," says Felix Marchal, VP Global Sales, Telit Wireless Solutions.
CeBIT.
CeBIT is the ideal platform for both companies to announce their new cooperation.
Telit and CEP will be profiling together for the first time in Hall 11, Stand D68.
CEP will be showcasing its wide range of Telit modules at its stand.
These include, for example, the new UMTS/HSDPA module UC864.
Telic, a partner of CEP, will also be presenting a range of applications that have been developed on the basis of these modules.
One of these applications is Pico Track by Telit.
This positioning device, with the size of a match box, can be worn easily on a keyring and is currently the smallest positioning device on the market.
It is based on the GE864 module from Telit and will primarily be used in security applications.
The wearer of the key fob can thus summon help quickly at the press of a button.
An integrated GPS receiver means that the location can quickly be identified.
The Telit GE864, currently the world's smallest GSM/GPRS quad band module, is the ideal basis for this handy application.
Compact M2M applications like this for everyone are a trend that Telit has picked up on early.
