The new buildings will enable us to increase our productivity in both development and production and will more than meet our future space requirements".
The new premises, with a floor space of 13 thousand square meters, will accommodate 430 workplaces and a machine hall of five thousand square metres.
Construction is planned to begin at the turn of 2007/2008 with a completion date at the end of 2009.
Tetra Pak will ensure that energy efficiency and environmental awareness will be considered at all stages of the construction process.
Goran Harryson, Managing Director of Tetra Pak, adds: "As a result of this investment we will have the potential to further strengthen our position as the technological centre for the Tetra Pak Group".
The investment in Lund follows the announcement in March of plans to build a euro60 million state-of-the-art packaging plant in Hohhot, China.
