A leader in the supply of mineral insulated thermocouple and RTD cables for industrial temperature measurement, Tyco Thermal Controls offers its Pyrotenax thermocouple cables with a Pyrosil sheath

A leader in the supply of mineral insulated thermocouple and RTD cables for industrial temperature measurement, Tyco Thermal Controls now offers its Pyrotenax thermocouple cables with a Pyrosil sheath.

This delivers exceptional mechanical strength, superior corrosion resistance and long-term stable emf at sustained high temperatures - up to 1250C.

Sensors manufactured with Pyrosil-sheathed cables are suitable for a wide variety of industrial process temperature measurement applications.

This is especially true for the harsh environments and hazardous areas of the chemical, petrochem and smelting industries.

Pyrosil-sheathed thermocouple cables are the ultimate component for MI thermocouple sensors.

The sheath demonstrates superior oxidation resistance and higher temperature strength than both AISI 310 stainless steel and Alloy 600.

In addition Pyrosil has similar chemical composition and physical characteristics as K and N thermo-element wires, giving sensors a more stable emf and a significantly longer operational life.

Pyrotenax offers Pyrosil sheath thermocouple cable in simplex and duplex configurations for K and N conductors, in a range of diameters.
