Conference studies WEEE implications on engineers
Process engineers who regularly work with electronic equipment can find out more about the WEEE Directive practical implications at a workshop organised by the UCLAN Centre for Waste Management
Process engineers who regularly work with electronic equipment will have a chance to find out more about the practical implications of the WEEE Directive at a workshop organised by the University of Central Lancashire Centre for Waste Management.
The session will be held as part of a one day conference, entitled Resource Use: Policy and Practice, which will be held on Friday 27th April at the Kilhey Country Hotel in Wigan.
The event will feature a choice of workshops, including an examination of the WEEE and RoHS Directives by Mark Shayler from Eco3, a British environmental consultancy specialising in eco design and producer responsibility.
The session is intended to give manufacturers, engineers and industrial managers a clearer picture of their obligations under the new legislation and some suggestions as to the most cost effective ways of meeting these requirements.
More information about the conference can be found on the Centre for Waste Management website, or by calling Catherine Hartley at UCLAN.
