At UCLan we work with companies to prevent equipment from failing due to wear.
By choosing the correct lubricants and lubrication, and designing machinery well, we can keep equipment running longer, reduce downtimes, and help the environment.
Tribology is important to all of engineering and plays a part in the successful operation of equipment from washing machines and hair-dryers, through to cars, aircraft and ships.
This conference is being organised with our Spanish partners, Tekniker, and we are excited about the support from the Office of Naval Research Global.
It recognises that our work has international importance, and that the UK is a leader in the field.".
