UKIVA director, Don Braggins, said: "We often have lively question and answer sessions at the end of each seminar, so we thought that visitors might find it interesting to have an open forum in which they could raise any issues they might have concerning industrial and machine vision.
Like the seminars, the forum will be completely free of charge, but we do advise that people book in advance by phone, e-mail or through the UKIVA web site to guarantee a place.
It is interesting to note that advance bookings at the last series of seminars run by the Association were up by more than 50%".
The seminar series itself has the title of "Imaging for Industry" and will feature a wide variety of presentations from UKIVA members on subjects as varied as new technology for machine vision, infra red and thermal imaging, open platform processing, pixel shifting and cooling technology for USB2 cameras, tools for fast solutions to machine vision problems, discussions on IEEE-1394b and integrating vision data to improve manufacturing process efficiencies.
Full details of the seminar programme can be found at the UKIVA web site.
