Expansion for application development team in UK

In a further demonstration of the Distrupol commitment to providing customers with independent project advice and support, Distrupol, a member company of Univar and a leading European polymer distributor, technical service provider and application development partner, has announced another expansion to its application development team with the appointment of Derek Bean.

Derek Bean has a BSc (Hons) degree in polymer science and technology, and more than seven-years experience of working within the polymer industry.

He joined Distrupol in August and will work directly with the distributor's customers in the East of England.

The appointment means that the Distrupol application development team in the UK now has five technical, product and process specialists supporting the company's plastics raw materials portfolio.

Derek Bean has been closely involved in the development of high specification polymers.

Also, he has first-hand knowledge of component manufacturing involving both injection moulding and extrusion processes.
