Universal Flow Monitors issues Coolpoint handbooks

An Universal Flow Monitors product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 19, 2009

Universal Flow Monitors has released literature describing its Coolpoint Totalizing Series vortex shedding flowmeters.

Coolpoint Totalizing Series flowmeters, which measure, monitor, verify and control flows of water, water/glycol coolant and low-viscosity fluids, are presented in a product bulletin and an installation/operation manual.

Both pieces, which are available via the company's website, focus on Coolpoint vortex shedding flowmeters equipped with totalisers for controlling the total amount of water, coolant or fluid in a processing application.

Coolpoint Totalizing Series flowmeters are electronic instruments that have no moving parts to stick or coat and can process water, coolant or fluids that may contain particles.

Universal Flow Monitors offers these flowmeters in 3/4in, 1in, 1.5in and 2in pipe sizes for flows ranging from 25GPM to 200GPM (95LPM to 750LPM).

The totaliser features a six-digit light-emitting diode (LED), a pulse output and push-button selection for gallons per minute (GPM) or litres per minute (LPM).

The user can toggle between two totals - one running and one resettable.

Coolpoint Totalizing Series flowmeters provide flow accuracy of +/-1.5 per cent of the indicated total.

The maximum operating pressure is 300psi (20bar) and the turndown is 10:1.

Universal Flow Monitors offers Coolpoint Totalizing Series meters with flow bodies of brass or 316 stainless steel with PVDF sensors and Viton seals.

The stainless-steel models are designed for low-viscosity corrosive fluids and water with chemicals added.

Universal Flow Monitors, located in Hazel Park, Michigan, manufactures flowmeters for a variety of industries.
