UniTrak Powderflight has received the latest quality certification, ISO 9001-2000, the internationally recognised standard for business quality management

UniTrak Powderflight Limited has received the latest quality certification, ISO 9001-2000 ISO 9000 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management

It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organisation supplies.

It prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met.

A revision of the well known ISO 9000 standard, ISO 9001-2000 has a stronger focus on continual improvement and customer satisfaction throughout the organisation.

The certification was received from Isoqar Limited, one of the United Kingdom's leading audit organizations.

Isoqar audits and issue certificates against a variety of management systems (including ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and BS7799).

Commenting on the award, Bill Gorsline, President of UniTrak Powderflight Limited said "I am thrilled that we have attained this certification.

It is a credit to the hard work and commitment of our people to go that extra mile to provide our customers with equipment and service of the highest level.

UniTrak was the first bucket elevator manufacturer worldwide to offer products and services based on a company-wide Quality Management System when we achieved certification to ISO 9001 in 1996 in Canada and the United States.

Achieving certification in the United Kingdom to ISO 9001-2000 marks our continuing commitment to customer satisfaction and continual improvement globally.

We believe that we are the only supplier in the United Kingdom to offer our customers this high level of quality assurance." Bill expressed his appreciation for the work done by Quality Director, Nick Webber and the team at UPL, whose knowledge of the company's design and manufacturing processes, and of the ISO standard, enabled the company to create a quality management system that was described as excellent by Lead Auditor, David Willcocks of Isoqar.

Mr Willcocks went on to say that the company demonstrates a high degree of commitment and understanding, and employs a orderly and methodical approach throughout.

UniTrak Powderflight was founded in 2000, when UniTrak acquired Angus Powderflight, an eighteen year veteran supplier of conveying equipment to the powder and bulk solids industry.

UniTrak Powderflight designs and manufactures Powderflight aeromechanical conveyors, TipTrak bulk elevators, along with flexible screw conveyors and bulk bag unloaders.

The UniTrak Powderflight office and manufacturing for the EU is in Glossop, Derbyshire, United Kingdom.

The company's North American headquarters is located in Port Hope, Ontario Canada.

The combined companies have agents, representatives, and licensees around the world.
