The AC drive manufacturer Vacon launches a new integrated IPR54 highly efficient Vacon NXL AC drive, as the most comp[act unit on the market, for conveyors, mixers, fans, pumps or packaging machines

The AC drive manufacturer Vacon launches a new compact, yet efficient Vacon NXL.

Everything is integrated; especially the IP54 units are the most compact AC drives on the market.

The standard unit fulfils the EMC requirements of industrial, public and residential environments.

It can be installed on the wall without additional cabinets as the RFI filter and AC choke are integrated in the well-protected mechanics, IP21 or IP54.

Available up to 30 kW in 400 V, the new Vacon NXL drive is a trouble-free choice for all open-loop applications including conveyors, mixers, fans, pumps or packaging machines.

The modular hardware and software design allows cost-effective solutions for most requirements, from simple fan control to versatile machine control including PLC functions.

The standard control I/O can be extended with two option boards allowing more relay outputs, sensor inputs or fieldbus interfaces.

"The new Vacon NXL is extremely easy to install and use.

The credit-card-sized instruction guide is readily available in each unit," says Mr Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Vacon Group.

Typically, only four steps are required to set up the unit: activating the Start-up Wizard, selecting the mode, tuning the motor nominal speed and tuning the motor nominal current.

Vacon Group was founded in 1993 for one purpose only: to create, develop and provide AC drives worldwide.

Ambitious to meet the most demanding needs of clients seeking top performance, easiness and reliability, Vacon offers AC drives in the power range of 0.25kW up to 5MW.

In 2005, Group AC drive sales totalled EUR149.9 million.
