Vacon opens sales support offices in Australia

The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon has strengthened its global presence by opening Vacon Pacific, with offices across Australia in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane

The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon has strengthened its global presence by opening a subsidiary office in Melbourne, Australia.

The grand opening will take place on March 15, and the inaugural speech will be given by Mr Glen Lindholm, the Finland Ambassador to Australia.

With the head office in Melbourne, and sales offices in Perth and Brisbane, Vacon Pacific will concentrate on serving the growing markets of Australia and the Pacific region.

"By opening a subsidiary in Australia to cover the Pacific region, Vacon now has offices in 18 countries outside Finland.

This is yet another important step supporting the Vacon strategy of a global presence and being closer to our customers.

Australia, and the Pacific region in general, is a large and growing market, and Vacon intends to become a major presence in the market.

Our offices are located in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Vacon Pacific will also position itself to support customers in the entire Asia-Pacific region," said Mr Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Vacon: "Now that we have our own offices in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, we expect to extend the growth of the brand, product and service in the market.

AC drives save energy, and thus, decrease the greenhouse effect and promote the fight against climate change.

The relatively high per capita energy consumption in Australia and the rapid economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region offer significant market potential for Vacon energy-saving solutions.
