The Vaisala Carbocap Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP343 is a compact field instrument designed for soil respiration measurements, other ecological measurements and various custom applications.

The metal-cased GMP343 operates in harsh conditions: in temperatures -40 to +60C (-40 to 140F) and humidity 0 - 100 %RH.

The GMP343 weighs less than 0.4 kg and consumes under 1 W of power.

The probe uses the unique Vaisala Carbocap silicon-based infrared sensor.

The diffusion-aspirated design eliminates the need for sampling systems and pumps.

In soil respiration box measurements this design also eliminates errors caused by pressure differences often present in pump-aspirated measurement systems.

The GMP343 is very stable, with 6 hour drift less than 1 ppm outdoors.

The warm-up time is short.

The GMP343 can output numerically filtered or raw measurement data.

Additional features include heated optics, compensation possibilities for temperature, relative humidity and pressure, and built-in self-diagnostics.

In addition to the diffusion-aspirated version, the GMP343 is available as a flow-through version.

The GMP343 can be powered and used with the portable MI70 indicator for convenient field measurement.
