Both Nicholson and Martin work from the Verano Mansfield, Massachusetts Headquarters.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Nicholson will oversee brand management, corporate communications and marketing, product marketing and market positioning.
Nicholson joins Verano from EMC, an information management and storage company, where he was responsible for leading product marketing and product management for its grid and utility computing business unit.

Nicholson brings 15 years of experience in high technology corporate marketing, product marketing and strategy, business development and sales to Verano.
He has worked for both emerging and mature technology companies including Digital Equipment, EMC, IBM, and InfiniSwitch, prior to joining Verano.
Nicholson will report to the Verano president and CEO, Brian Ahern, who commented: "With Todd's experience and years in the field, he is a great asset to helping cement the Verano reputation as the leading SCADA security company.
He has demonstrated great leadership in corporate marketing and brand management, which will further the Verano ability to more deeply penetrate industrial business around the world with mission-critical data and security requirements".
Chris Martin was recently hired as senior director for marketing Industrial Defender, the Verano comprehensive cybersecurity solution that monitors and protects the real-time control environment in power transmission and distribution, water distribution and treatment, gas and liquid pipelines, mass transit and power generation operations.
Martin is responsible for setting the product strategy for the Industrial Defender portfolio.
Key focus areas include developing marketing and sales programmes for the critical infrastructure cybersecurity market; preparing business and marketing strategy for the Industrial Defender portfolio and overseeing marketing content development for product launches.
Martin brings almost 18 years experience in the high technology space; 13 years of which were in the process automation industry.
He has experience in product and corporate marketing, product management and business development.
Martin also has an engineering background from work with leading control systems vendors such as GE Fanuc, Honeywell, and Intellution.
He joins Verano from AccuSoft, an imaging, image processing and data analysis software company in Westborough, Massachusetts.
