Solids level radar success for Vegapuls
68

In 2004, Vegapuls 68 was the first pulse radar sensor specially developed for applications with solids, 2-wire loop powered, ATEX approved with a 70m range: now over 1200 are in operation world-wide

In 2004 Vega introduced Vegapuls 68, the first pulse radar sensor specially developed for applications with solids; 2-wire loop powered, ATEX approved with a 70m range Already, there are over 1200 of these sensors in operation worldwide

Not only contributing to the Vega 100,000 non-contact radar milestone, but also proving that the technology is taking bulk solids and silo level measurement into a 'new era'.

Vegapuls 68 is measuring aggregates, blast furnaces, cement, coal, grain, fly ash, flour even plastics - applications previously very difficult for any non contact techniques as they were influenced by dust, heat, filling noise angle of repose.

It can also be used on liquid gases due to it ultra high sensitivity for measuring very low conductivity (therefore reflectivity) products.

The big advantages of Vegapuls 68: narrow focussing avoids obstructions and 1000 times higher sensitivity for poor reflectivity, with both combining to handle product surface angles.

By being non-contact, there are no roof loading concerns, no contamination issues, it is wear-free, easy to install and commission, without needing to empty a large silo or interrupt production.

All at a price comparable with long range ultrasonic devices.

It is ATEX Dust and Gas approved and uses the Vega 'plics' system: making use easy, ownership costs low and offering a 3 year warranty.

Vega are happy to arrange a test or a trial to demonstrate the technology, and the reliability, in your application. Request a free brochure from Vega Controls UK ...
