Vega TDR gets remote housing
Vega have introduced a VegaFlex guided microwave radar (TDR) level transmitter with a remote housing option
The new unit uses a special connection cable (in three standard lengths: 2, 5 and 10m - longer lengths are also available) to a housing incorporating the electronics, programming and cable terminals The process connection height is designed to be as small as possible, with a straight 'axial' and right-angled plug on each end of the connecting cable, allowing the most suitable orientation and enabling the unit to be installed in confined spaces

PTFE and PFA coated TDR level transmitters
The Vega range of TDR/guided microwave devices is now completed by the new instrument version VEGAFLEX 63, featuring a PFA coated rod and PTFE faced flange with a welded 'gap free' construction
This version (with rod or cable electrodes) is ideal for applications such as restricted clearance or low head-room on small vessels and bridles, where housings may be damaged (e.g mobile tankers), if process vibration is anticipated, for 'ambient' housing temperatures up to 100C, or where sensor electronics are in highly radioactive areas.
This new version has ATEX Gas Ex certification, standard features include: FDT/DTM, 4-20mA and HART protocol (Profibus and Foundation fieldbus available as options), integral device data-logging, backlit display and programmer, as with all Vega plics transmitters.
