Vega radar level transmitter provides Thames data

A VEGA Controls product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 6, 2010

Vega Controls has supplied a non-contact Vegapuls 62 radar level transmitter, with ranges up to 75m, on the Erith pier on the Thames.

It is positioned inside a hooped access ladder and is designed to monitor and provide data on the level of the river.

The narrow beam angle, false-echo learn and intelligent echo processing handle any false reflections from the existing structure.

The two-wire loop-powered Vega radar allows cross referencing of the river levels for traffic, barrier operations, harbour and navigation in the area.
