Velocity11 on display at Labautomation 2009

An Agilent Automation (formerly Velocity11) product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 22, 2008

Velocity11 will introduce new products and applications, including the Direct-Drive Robot (DDR), at Labautomation 2009.

The DDR uses configurable Z-travel technology to enable greater stacking of instruments.

One-person one-touch teaching enables fast and easy configuration.

The teaching jig allows the robot to be moved to any location; there is no need to use a pendant to jog the arm into position.

This reduces time spent on repositioning and refining, enabling new instruments to be quickly brought under robotic control.

Velocity11 will also introduce an updated version of VWorks Automation Control Software, which will integrate and control scheduling for all levels of automation from stand-alone liquid handlers to large integrated systems.

VWorks enables life science discovery enterprises to maximise throughput, create quality leads sooner and lower support burden.

Velocity11 will also present several workstations highlighting the Benchcel and Bravo automation platforms, demonstrating new application developments in compound management, Admet and genomics.

A Velocity11 workshop will demonstrate the successful integration of the Tetra Jellyfish Reader onto the Velocity11 BioCel and how protocols developed with VWorks software allow scheduling of Ca2+ flux assays.
