New pump range handles high viscosities.
The new GlobalGear pump range from Verder can handle high viscosity and high temperature fluids, while simplifying maintenance.
Verder has enhanced the application potential of its Verdergear pump range with the introduction of the new GlobalGear series.
Capable of handling a wide range of fluids, including high-viscosity (up to 220,000 cst), high-temperature (up to 316C) liquids, GlobalGear pumps can work at flow rates up to 50 cubic metres per hour, and at pressures up to 14bar.
Modular construction means that several port styles are available to suit individual piping needs.
This feature extends to the seal chamber, allowing the use of packing, mechanical or cartridge seals without the need to change major pump components.
Furthermore, the adoption of standard shaft sizes means that seals used in other rotating equipment can be fitted to GlobalGear pumps, contributing to a reduced parts inventory.
To simplify maintenance, GlobalGear pumps feature a true, back pullout design and inline seal access.
Both the drive module and the seal can be removed to allow servicing without disturbing either the piping or shaft alignment, greatly reducing downtime.
The GlobalGear series represents the culmination of an intensive research programme, initiated to assess the needs of gear pump users.
The design draws on many years of gear pump engineering experience and incorporates features specifically aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing life-cycle costs.
