Verder pumping solution for Johnson
Matthey
Verder have provided Johnson Matthey in Enfield with the answer to a difficult fume scrubber application with the installation of a Verdermag TB Series pump with an 11KW motor
Prior to the use of this Verder pump, two other makes of mag drive pumps were lasting less than a month before failure occurred After discussions with Mike Gould, Maintenance Manager at Johnson Matthey, Verder recommended a mag drive ETFE lined pump: this pump has been designed to pump liquids with a solids percentage of up to 20%
The new pump was provided on a trial basis for a period of six months and on completion of this Mike Gould expressed his complete satisfaction with the pump and wanted to keep it in service.
In total the pump ran for a period of 18 months before it was finally removed for inspection and returned to Verder for run testing and evaluation.
Johnson Matthey have now bought a number of these pumps for various further applications on their Enfield site.
