"This effective light distribution and wide ambient temperature range (-200C to +700C) makes the VL64 ideally suited to a wide range of applications" says Gareth Bruce, Marketing Manager for Victor Lighting.
He continues "These could include both offshore and onshore installations, tank farms, as security and perimeter lighting or in any tough industrial environment".
Designed for use in Zone 1 (Class 1, Division 1 equivalent) areas and ATEX approved, this flameproof symmetrical floodlight reinforces Victor Lighting hazardous area range.
The VL64 Equal Plus has an extensive range lamp options accommodating high pressure discharge lamps up to 400W or single ended tungsten lamps up to 500W.
The flood is manufactured from corrosion resistant aluminium alloy (LM6) making it lightweight and easy to install.
The design utilises a separate Ex 'e' increased safety terminal chamber, this means that less expensive cable glands can be utilised lowering installation costs.
Simple maintenance is also assured as re-lamping is achieved via the easy access hinged front cover fitted with captive cover screws.
"The advanced design of the VL64 Equal Plus has created a high performance floodlight making it ideal for a wide range of applications, but also incorporates some key features that provides customers with a relatively low cost option, both in terms of installation and maintenance" says Bruce.
