VIPA, the German manufacturer of innovative PLC and PC based automation solutions announce an extensive revision of its UK marketing strategy with new distribution agreements

VIPA, the German manufacturer of innovative PLC and PC based automation solutions announce an extensive revision of its UK marketing strategy with the appointment of Mark Jones as UK National Sales Manager and new distribution agreements with Wyko Industrial Services and other selected leading integration partners The extensive VIPA range includes PLC and PC based automation solutions for centralised and decentralised control for the majority of fieldbus systems with full pin and instruction set compatibility with Siemens S7-300, S7-400 and S5 S5-115U/135U/155U

Current VIPA products include the System 100V, 200V, 300V and 500V which offer varying levels of performance from small and simple to extremely complex machine control applications for modular DIN rail and PC slot mounting.

All ranges offer CPUs with memory expansion, fieldbus expansion modules, digital and analogue I/O modules, terminals, HMI and an extensive array of accessories to support integration into new or existing applications.

The new UK marketing strategy has been planned to coincide with the launch of the latest VIPA product range, the Speed7, the world's fastest PLC with a minimum cycle time of 100 microsec and full compatibility with Siemens Step7 providing 50,000 instructions in just 1 millisec.

With flexible memory from 64K to 1Mb and integrated Profibus DP-Master interface the Speed7 is set to excite the automation industry.

Mark Jones is relishing the challenge of his new position with VIPA "There has not been a revolution in the PLC marketplace for decades," says Mark, "maybe VIPA can now provide some excitement.

Right now we are establishing a strong foundation of support for our products in the UK and we will be announcing further details of the new SPEED7 and our existing range over the coming months".

VIPA GmbH was created in 1985 by Herr Wolfgang Seel as a system house for automation and control engineering.

By 1988, project related automation solutions led to the design and manufacture of their first PC based machine controllers and PLC systems with TCP/IP communication.

1997 saw the launch of the System 200V which has become a respected and well-known product in the German automation market.

Today VIPA have established itself as a force in automation systems and have a world-wide base of distribution and subsidiary companies supporting its full product range.

With innovative design and a strong emphasis on cost and performance, VIPA are planning to provide the UK market with ground-breaking and competitive machine control solutions.
