Visilume bursting discs set new standards
Targeted at the pharmaceutical, bioprocessing and food industries, these premium quality bursting discs represent the most highly specified, comprehensive and cost-effective solution on the market
Visilume has introduced a new range of Oseco pressure relief devices for aseptic and hygienic processes.
Targeted at the pharmaceutical, bioprocessing and food industries, these premium quality bursting discs represent the most highly specified, comprehensive and cost-effective solution on the market.
Constructed from 316 stainless steel with smooth surfaces to avoid product build-up and minimise contamination, the discs are fully compliant with FDA regulations for hygienic service and can be provided with the ASME UD stamp if required.
Importantly, the standard fit integral gaskets made from FDA approved elastomers, including silicone, fluoropolymer and EPDM, obviate the requirement for special holders, cutting outlay costs and ensuring easy installation and spares sourcing.
The comprehensive range, one of the widest on the market, covers virtually all requirements, with sizes from 25 to 100mm, burst pressures from 0.2barg to 20 barg and temperature capabilities to 2300C.
Gas and liquid compatible, the discs are non-fragmenting to avoid possible product contamination and are designed to withstand all sterilisation and cleaning procedures without sustaining damage.
A working pressure up to 95% of the minimum burst pressure also allows processes to be run at the optimal pressure for the design of the vessel.
Options include a range of sensors for detecting operation of the disc, which relay an electrical signal to an alarm system.
Commenting on the new range, Visilume managing director Andrew Green said: "The latest Oseco pressure relief devices are further confirmation of the company's leadership in this field.
Their products have a reputation for quality combined with cost-effective, easy installation and operation and these new products will further enhance this.
They set new standards for quality, specification, versatility and ease of use and will become the recognised device of choice in all sectors operating hygienic processes".
