MBT conference papers deadline
The deadline for the submission of proposed paper abstracts for the 2005 International Symposium on MBT (Mechanical-Biological waste Treatment) is the 5th of August 2005
In succession with the implementation of the EU-landfill directive, MBT is now on the way to become one of the most important waste management options in other countries.
This is has been proven by the large interest that the first International Symposium MBT has found worldwide and especially in Western Europe.
The conference considered modern high technical MBT solutions, which are favoured in Europe, as well as simple and cheap but efficient concepts for developing countries.
The conference has been organised by Wasteconsult international.
The parallel exhibition appeared as a 'who is who' of leading companies in MBT technology.
The conference included an excursion to the two brandnew MBT plants Sachsenhagen and Pohlsche Heide (Germany), which are an example for modern concepts of part stream dry digestion and full stream wet digestion.
The excursion has been supported by Horstmann, a leading German manufacturer of MBT machines and turn-key-plants.
The conference opened the view to Central European waste management, were MBT is well established and also offered a good overview about the application of MBT in many other countries, which was possible by presentations from 13 different countries.
If you have missed the event, you will have a second chance in 2007, when the next international Symposium MBT will take place.
To make sure that you will be informed early, register via the website and you will get the conference mailings.
Papers of the symposium are available for downloading.
