The International Symposium MBT focuses on MBT and additionally on automatic waste sorting technology as the bridge between waste management and the recycling industry With participants from 31 countries, the bilingual International Symposium MBT 2005 became the internationally most recognised conference on MBT

MBT conference papers deadline
The deadline for the submission of proposed paper abstracts for the 2005 International Symposium on MBT (Mechanical-Biological waste Treatment) is the 5th of August 2005
By extending the conference by two additional languages and by including automatic waste sorting technology the International Symposium MBT 2007 will expand its position.
The conference will take place from the 22 - 24 May 2007 in Hanover, Germany.
It is accompanied by a commercial exhibition.
The conference will include the following topics:.
* Basics, possibilities, limits and relevance of MBT and waste sorting technology.
* Current and future relevance of MBT and waste sorting technology.
* MBT and automatic waste sorting: Two technologies with a joint future.
* Competition and material (waste) streams in Europe.
* Functionality, economic efficiency and ecobalance of MBT and material extraction from waste.
* New developments in machine and system engineering.
* Emissions and their treatment.
* Landfilling of MBT-waste.
* Conditioning, use and sale of MBT output fractions (e.g RDF, metals) and other recyclable fractions from mixed waste.
* Experiences with new and rebuilt plants.
* Process control and analytics.
If you are interested, please submit the following information by December 5, 2006.
* Title and qualified abstract (1-2 pages) of the paper (English or German only).
* Institution, Name, address, Phone, FAX and personal email-address.
The selection of the papers and the symposium programme will be finalised in January 2007.
The leading authors (presenters) of the accepted papers will get free access to the conference, which also includes lunch, dinner and the conference proceedings.
Papers for the conference proceedings have to be in English or German.
The Powerpoint presentations on the conference must be in English, but the oral presentation can be held in French, Italian or German as well, but preferably also in English.
Transport and accommodation have to be self-organised and paid by the authors.
The conference hotel (4 Star category) offers rooms for 65 Euro per night for symposium participants.
Hanover has an international airport and is easy to reach by train, car and airplane.
