Electronic flow switch has no moving parts

A weber Sensors product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 5, 2005

The Model 4120 flow-captor flow switch and alarm from Weber Sensors has no moving parts, and offers a versatile, solid-state, flow-indicating sensor with a switch output

Flow-captors are compact, self-contained flow sensors that work according to a calorimetric principle.

This principle allows for the creation of compact, reliable flow sensors with a price/performance ratio not possible with other flow-sensing technologies.

Especially at low flow rates, no other sensing principle can achieve the high accuracy of a flow-captor.

The Model 4120 flow-captor is a flow switch and alarm: a versatile, solid-state, flow-monitoring device with no moving parts.

In addition the LED array indicates flow rate as a percent of range (field adjustable from 20cm/s to 3m/s) and a flashing LED indicates the set-point (which is also field adjustable).

The range adjustment label also enables gallon-per-minute flow rate calculation.

This unique flow-captor performs well on clean or dirty water, oil, grease and aggressive media.

It is ideal for cooling water, pump protection, lubrication, dosing, adhesives and slurries.
