Scandinavian Ontime Networks acquired
Westermo, the market leading industrial data communication company, with representatives in over 30 countries, has acquired the majority of the Swedish-Norwegian company Ontime Networks
Westermo, the market leading industrial data communication company, with representatives in over 30 countries, has acquired the majority of the Swedish-Norwegian company Ontime Networks Ontime Networks, which is headquartered in Oslo, was established in 2000 and has in that short time developed and marketed a very high quality range of industrial Ethernet products

Ontime Networks has employees both in Norway and in Sweden.
Sweden has hosted the development department whilst sales, marketing and administration has been located in Norway.

Westermo has been the major distribution channel for Ontime from the early days of the company", says Thomas Andersson the General Manager of the Westermo group.
"Westermo is the perfect partner for us", says Oyvind Holmeide the General Manager for Ontime Networks.
"Westermo is a well-established company in many countries and has a mature marketing structure".
The merger of the two Companies now means that the Westermo group has a more complete range of industrial data communication products from serial converters to Ethernet switches with integrated timeservers.
Ethernet is the fastest growing sector of the industrial data communication market with many competing companies from Europe, USA and Asia.
"Westermo has a very long history and a well-known name in the industrial data communications market.
The Ontime brand will strengthen our position in this market and we are convinced that we will dramatically increase our sales in the industrial Ethernet sector" agreed Thomas Andersson and Oyvind Holmeide.
