The Wireless Ethernet Presentation.
A discussion of the pros and cons of WIFI and low power radio for the transmission of Ethernet.
Many factors must be considered when using wireless technology including security, transmission range, bandwidth and regulations.
GSM and GPRS Presentation.
An explanation of how GSM and GPRS work, and practical explanation of how to access the services provided by the mobile network providers to gain the best performance, will be provided.
The pitfalls and advantages of using the different networks and what you need to know about SIMs, APNs etc will be described.
Ethernet Industrial Presentation.
We explore many aspects of industrial Ethernet, including environmental specifications, determinism, redundancy, SNMP network management and multicasting.
The technology behind redundant rings, real time Ethernet and the basics of timeserving will be explained.
Training: remote access using TCP/IP over Ethernet and GSM/GPRS.
Running alongside these presentations will be hands on training on our new GDW-11 GSM/GPRS modem and EDW-100 serial to Ethernet converter.
Participants will gain hands-on experience of setting IP addresses and establishing connections to serial devices over Ethernet and GPRS.
