Since the release of the Lynx300 in February 2005, Westermo has added fast Ethernet versions, Gbit versions and most recently an unmanaged fast Ethernet version with robust M12 connectors.
The Lynx range is available with a range of port combinations.
A modular system allows devices to be equipped with either fibre or copper transceivers depending on the application requirements.
Variants are available for multimode and single mode fibre and in addition there is a BIDI transceiver, which enables the installation of a ring solution on just one fibre.
The brochure outlines the expanding industry approvals Lynx has acquired.
Models were developed to withstand harsh environments and this has made the Lynx switches suitable for industrial, marine and railway applications.
The design is also prepared to conform to requirements for installation in switchgear substation automation and military applications.
