A Westermo Data Communications product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 9, 2009

Westermo Data Communications is offering two hands-on industrial Ethernet switch seminars in June.

The free-of-charge half-day events in Swindon and Warrington will explain the Redfox series of industrial Ethernet switches.

Aimed at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators and end users, the seminars will feature a product presentation, a practical demonstration showing the full functionality of these robust devices and hands-on experience and discussions.

Participants will have the opportunity to configure redundant-ring networks, including Westermo's Fast Recovery of Network Topology (FRNT), static routing and firewall functions such as virtual local-area networks (VLANs) and a range of security features including virtual private networks (VPNs).

In addition to the Redfox presentations, there will be live working demonstrations of remote PLC communications, redundant-ring Ethernet and industrial modems.

The seminars will take place on 24 June at the Hilton Hotel in Swindon and on 25 June at the Park Royal Hotel in Warrington.

They will start at 08.45 and run until midday.

Breakfast will be supplied.

Places are limited to 25 per venue so pre-registration is required.
