Wheelabrator agents attend training
event

World leading surface preparation and finishing specialist Wheelabrator Group has cleared key people for take off, following an aviation-themed training event in Germany The two-day event meeting 'You Have Control', was held at the group's technical centre in Metelen, near Munster on the Dutch border, and attended by over 180 sales staff, distributors and partners from more than 20 countries

Joining delegates from as far afield as Canada, Croatia and China, staff from the company's offices in Altrincham, Wakefield, Slough, Coventry and Birmingham received their mission briefing from Wheelabrator Group president and chief executive officer Robert Joyce, when he opened proceedings.
Following this, delegates had a choice of seminars, devised to help them take control of their sales potential and relationships with customers.
Areas covered included plate and fabrication descaling, peening, medical and heavy duty applications, diecasting, automotive, concrete and stone surface preparation, new wheel developments, equipment modernisation and accreditations.

After a busy day training, the delegates flight manoeuvres were tested at nearby evening entertainment venue 'Virtual Aero'.
After flying a MIG fighter plane in the simulator, guests enjoyed a hearty meal and drinks at the vodka bar.
Day two provided opportunities to attend further training sessions and seminars, and watch demonstrations of equipment, including the new SmartLine entry level range, an eight robot peening cell for Daimler Chrysler and a huge preservation line destined for Shanghai Shipyards.
Vanessa Riding, global marketing manager at Wheelabrator Group, said: "The event proved a great success and we're delighted by the enthusiasm shown by our staff, distributors and partners.
