The Food Division of Weightron Bilanciai is joining forces at Foodex/Meatex with their newly acquired subsidiary Westco Limited and the show sees the launch of no less than three new product families.

The performance and stylish looks of their Cigiemme Mercury automatic weigh price labeller are set to 'steal the show' and this revolutionary product sets new standards in terms of design, ease of operator use, hygiene, productivity, flexibility and aesthetics.

Comprehensive interface options ensure that the Mercury can act as a stand-alone module or be integrated within a larger processing installation.

The ingenious belt design allows the Mercury to handle a diverse range of food products, including those packaged in conventional containers and traditionally difficult to handle produce such as film-wrapped lettuces and vegetables.

For standard products, the belt assumes a normal horizontal aspect while for those such as individual vegetables and fruit, the split belts can be inclined to form a 'v' shaped channel.

On display alongside the Mercury will be Company's new D430 Checkweigher and i-TakeAway scales.

Both products have been developed to meet the challenges of modern food processing plants, especially in terms of accuracy, ease of use, data capture and hygiene.

The D430 has OIML approval to 6000 divisions and can be used with twin scales.

The unit's comprehensive software and interface options provide the ultimate in flexibility whilst still remaining operator- friendly.

The i-TakeAway can be used as both a static scale or in 'takeaway' mode and the built-in castors mean that it can easily be moved within the plant.

The unit has no parts that can trap food debris and is designed to be fully washed down on a regular basis.
