Wilkinson Star and Cebora welding equipment support the Salford City Reds Rugby League Club, who are to build a new GBP130 million, 20,000 capacity 'City of Salford' stadium

Salford City Reds Rugby League Club, whose shirts are sponsored by welding equipment manufacturer Cebora, represented in the UK by Wilkinson Star, the Worsley, Manchester based industrial equipment supplier, have announced that they have been granted approval to build a new purpose built GBP130 million, 20,000 capacity 'City of Salford' stadium Salford City Reds Chairman, Founder and Chairman of Wilkinson Star, John Wilkinson OBE said: "This is where the work begins

This is day one and it is a proud, proud day for all concerned with the Reds.

It's been a very long road but now we can look to build the future of this great club.

I have been part of this very special rugby league family for 25 years and a Salford businessman for 35 years, so it is an honour to be able to oversee this move during my time as Chairman of the club.

This marks the end of one story where we move from our current ground and the beginning of an exciting new one as we move to our new stadium in 2009.

Cebora, based in Bologna, Italy is one of the market leaders in the manufacture of welding equipment and we first started selling their equipment in 1982.

Since then we have built up a highly successful business relationship.

Many well known businesses in industry are actively sponsoring sport and the arts in the UK and the sponsorship from Cebora has proved to be a very successful relationship bringing together two well known brand names.

The Directors of Cebora are proud to have their Company's name on the club's shirts and to be associated with and support the Reds in their new venture".

Cebora manufactures and markets a wide range of MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding equipment including the latest inverter welding technology as well as plasma cutting equipment for use in a wide variety of manufacturing industries.

Many of their products are approved for use by the world's major car producers for use by their service dealers including Renault, Mazda and Toyota.
