A Wilkinson Star product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jul 12, 2007

The Cebora new Jaguar Double Pulse MIG/MAG inverter welding power source with pulse and double pulse capability has been launched in the UK by Wilkinson Star

Jaguar Double Pulse is a fully synergic digital machine using a 230V 50/60 Hz single phase power supply: it is equipped with a double wire feeder, two wire spool holders for 5kg - 15kg spools and two outlets for two welding torches, so that the welder can use two different types of wire, without the need to change the wire spool.

It comes supplied with two standard 3m MIG torches.

Options available are a 6m push/pull MIG torch with remote control, and a water cooling unit.

The double pulse feature offers the welder the ability to MIG weld thin sheet aluminium as an option to using TIG welding.

It is designed for MIG/MAG welding and MIG brazing a wide range of weldable materials including mild steel, galvanised steel, aluminium and stainless steel as well as special high strength steels.

It is ideal for use in car and commercial vehicle body repair work and for general fabrication where a component is manufactured using a range of different materials.

The equipment programmes are easy to set and use and via an RS232 port new programmes can be added making the investment future-proof against the introduction of new materials to be welded.

It is rated 200A at 35% duty cycle at 40C ambient air temperature, with an infinitely adjustable current range of 15-200A and is suitable for use with a wide range of welding wires including 0.6 - 1 mm mild and stainless steel wires, 0.6 - 1.2 mm aluminium and 0.8 - 1.0mm CuSi3% and CuAl8% wires.

Weighing only 75kg and supplied on a sturdy trolley with double gas cylinder carrier, it can be easily moved around the workshop.
