Light reactive welding helmets
The Starparts division of Wilkinson Star, the Worsley, Manchester based industrial equipment supplier, has announced the launch of a new range of Beta light reactive welding helmets
Simon Aldridge, Managing Director at SPA Welding takes up the story: "We have been established as a welding equipment distributor for nearly 4 years covering East and West Sussex and to-date this has been our most successful promotion, so much so, we were rewarded with 3 scooters and we had to decide what to do with them.
We have a customer, who has a young lad with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, so I decided that we would like to offer one of the scooters to their charity 'The Jennifer Trust', so they could enter it into a raffle and thereby help raise funds.
The second one, we decided to offer to a local junior football club, Felpham Colts FC.
As a Company we have helped sponsor them and I know how difficult it is for them to raise funds for kit and to keep the club running, so they will be raffling it over the Christmas period to help raise urgently needed funds.
The third scooter, again we have decided to offer it to a charity to help raise funds, but as I speak we have yet to identify that charity".
John Wilkinson O.B.E, Chairman, Wilkinson Star said: "I had the pleasure of visiting Simon, Len, Mark and Teresa to present them with their scooters, as I was impressed by there generosity in donating them to charitable organisations, so that they could be raffled to help raise funds.
In business, the human touch should always be at the fore and the approach adopted by S.P.A Welding certainly illustrates this".
