New non-destructive leak tester for packaging
Witt Gas Techniques has introduced a new system for non-destructive testing for leaks in individual flexible and rigid food and pharmaceutical packaging based on CO2 detection technology
The newest product is Leak-Master MAPmax, an automatic in-line micro leak detection system designed to carry out automatic quality control on the entire packaging line.
It is non destructive and uses CO2 detection technology eliminating the need for costly helium testing..
Portable versions of Leak-Master micro leak detection systems are used randomly on packages directly after the packing process.

PA-O2 and PA-O2/CO2 gas analysers measure the Oxygen (O2) and the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) content in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) helping maintain product quality.
They are designed for either continuous or intermittent analysis and have an integrated data logger for recording up to 100 measurements.
The MFA portable multi-functional gas analyser is both continuous in-line and intermittent monitoring of O2 and CO2 levels in Protective Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).
It needs only a minimal gas sample to monitor the gas content, so it can be used with the smallest of packages.
Oxybaby V and Oxybaby M are two small, hand held, gas analysers for O2 and CO2 powered by re-chargeable batteries.
These cordless, ergonomically designed, lightweight oxygen (O2) or combined oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO2) analysers are ideal for mobile random inspections of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) on food packaging lines, in supermarkets, in warehouses or in laboratories.
Information will be available on the Company's new can/bottle piercer attachment for use with Oxybaby V to analyse the O2 and CO2 content in the headspace of soft and alcoholic drinks bottles and cans, both metal, plastic and glass.
It uses an unbreakable probe with integrated needle protection to penetrate the metal or plastic lids and caps to obtain a sample.
