Oxybaby V hand held gas analyser for offshore use

A Witt Gas Techniques product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 5, 2007

The Witt Gas Oxybaby V hand held gas analyser is now available with a pressure regulator to measure the CO2 and O2 levels in pipelines used in the offshore oil and gas industries

Running on a re-chargeable battery, Oxybaby V requires a minimal 4ml gas sample to obtain a reading.

It has a pipeline/product type record capability allowing the user to not only identify and record the O2 and CO2 percentages, but also the pipeline or the type of product from which the sample was taken.

The user can record up to 15 pipeline numbers or 15 different products on top of the value, date and time of up to 100 measurements.

Weighing only 600 grams, it is small enough to fit into a pocket, ideal for random sampling.

The large graphic display makes reading results easy and it takes a maximum 6 seconds to obtain a reading.

Oxybaby V can also be used to calculate N2 and Ar, whilst models to calculate other gases can be made upon request.

Other features include data that can be read via an interface or can be downloaded onto a computer or printer using Witt-Logger software, a Windows based programme with filter functions for information editing such as procedure changes and part numbers for individual customers.

A low cost version called Oxybaby M is also available to meet a demand from companies who require random testing, but have no need to record the measured results and do not have the requirement to export the data via an interface to a computer or printer.
